Mississippi Sound – As the invasion fleet arrives off the
coast of North America, the British learn how cold it can be in wet, south
Louisiana as cold, damp wind blows over the ships heading for the barrier
islands, Dog Island, Ship Island and Cat Island.
Cat Island – American navy Lt. Thomas ap Catesby Jones,
aboard the sloop-of-war, USS Seahorse,
watches the approaching fleet and turns his ship around to head for Fort Petite
Coquilles to alert Gen. Jackson. The fleet has arrived.
