New Orleans – Suspecting the man she’s been flirting, Harold
Lowe, is indeed a spy for the British, wily Aimée Monlezun pretends to reveal the fact the Americans will soon have 20,000 troops in the
city. Harold thinks, as most 19th Century men do, that women are
flighty enough to mistakingly reveal accurate information. It is not, of course.
Gen. Jackson, alerted the British fleet has arrived, quickly
sends journalist Matthew with Lt. Jones back to Lake Borgne to watch and avoid
entanglement with the fleet. The general assigns the Gentilly theatre to
Governor Claiborne and 7th US Infantry artillerymen.
