Rodriguez
Plantation south of New Orleans – In the blue plantation house that will become
the center of the battle, Enrique Rodriguez alerts his daughters that they are
moving next door. The Rodriguez family has purchased the adjacent plantation
and they are moving to the larger Macarté House as the plantations are now
joined. Lucia’s little sister Maria realizes they are wealthy people but is
cautioned Creoles do not brag about wealth.
